Job Title: Distribution Center Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Distribution Center Manager to lead our production activities and ensure the efficient distribution of our products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing production activities, leading and mentoring production supervisors, and coordinating with departmental supervisors, schedulers, HR managers, and quality systems trainers to achieve overall performance goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct production activities for multiple departments, work centers, and processes on an assigned shift.
  • Lead and mentor production supervisors to achieve overall performance goals for production cost, quality, and safety.
  • Coordinate production activities through planning with departmental supervisors, schedulers, HR managers, and quality systems trainers.
  • Ensure that distribution objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Business or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years experience in production leadership or related area.
  • Supervisory/management experience.
  • Management of resources to optimize equipment, facilities, employees, methods, and materials.
  • Lean and Continuous Quality Improvement principles.
  • System improvement methods and capacity planning and product flow.
