Key Responsibilities:Financial Performance
  • Track and analyze P&L metrics to inform financial planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Market Manager to develop and manage annual capital expenditures, sales forecasts, and P&L management for assigned plants.
  • Review and approve invoices, expenses, and accounting reports as required by policy.
  • Evaluate and implement capital improvement projects to increase efficiencies and contribute to company goals.
  • Monitor budgets and progress towards monthly and annual sales and profit targets.
  • Support the Market Manager in preparing, analyzing, and reconciling financial reports to meet market strategic initiatives.
  • Discuss financial performance with the Market Manager to define and execute plans for financial corrections.
Improvement Efforts
  • Promote a performance-driven and continuous-improvement environment for manufacturing operations, fostering innovation and creativity within the plant.
  • Proactively seek ways to improve KPIs, particularly decreasing CPU and maintaining quality, efficiency, and customer service.
  • Evaluate manufacturing, production, and logistics processes for improved efficiencies at assigned plants.
  • Work with the Market Manager to provide insights on process improvement opportunities for safety, quality, delivery, production, and cost reduction, and lead the implementation.
Operational Plant Performance
  • Responsible for all manufacturing and logistics-related activities for assigned plants.
  • Oversee production to ensure fulfillment of all customer orders.
  • Ensure on-schedule and on-budget delivery.
  • Assess plant performance against operating plans and standards, ensuring plant performance meets area goals and exceeds customer requirements.
  • Maintain the plant's PSM/RMP and HACCP programs.
  • Maintain a Preventive Maintenance program and make updates as needed.
  • Incident commander/responder in the event of a Hazmat leak or spill.
Delivery Execution
  • Manage hiring, training, and performance of all Hub DSD drivers, either directly or in support of a Distribution Supervisor.
  • Manage driver scheduling, delivery execution, and DVM board, including DNS, SAS, and OOS.
  • Manage performance and drive improvement in scorecard metrics.
  • Ensure all deliveries are made safely and efficiently, including DSD, transport, and special events.
  • Manage HUB delivery staff, including scheduling and driver check-in.
  • Drive safety and compliance as a priority, including DQ files, hours of service, daily vehicle inspection reports, and accident reporting and completion.
  • Manage handheld, fuel card, and fleet.
Safety-Focused Culture
  • Emphasize safety programs and initiatives and assure the highest standard of safety throughout the plant and distribution centers.
  • Track and monitor safety metrics and communicate these metrics to plant staff.
  • Investigate and review accidents and injuries, with follow-up as necessary, and ensure timely and accurate documentation is completed.
Positive Culture and Talent Development
  • Manage staffing requirements for increased labor efficiencies to meet plant objectives.
  • Establish standards of performance, including timely and accurate use of the performance management process to evaluate and communicate effectiveness and suggestions for development opportunities.
  • Conduct staff meetings to communicate key information and ensure messages are cascaded down into the organization.
  • Supervise, develop, and coach supervisors at the plant.
  • Work with the management team to support employees on their growth and development, motivating employees to contribute at their full potential.
  • Identify top talent and be a mentor and advisor for these high-performing employees, outlining succession plans to identify growth opportunities for top talent.
  • Coordinate the hiring and training of direct employees and interview for key positions.
  • Develop and maintain a favorable employee relations environment.
  • Partner with Human Resources to establish, drive, and maintain all people practices and ensure 100% adherence to established timelines.
