Position Overview

Role Summary:

We are looking for a meticulous and forward-thinking Healthcare Systems Consultant to become a part of our organization. In this position, you will assess and enhance healthcare systems and workflows to boost operational effectiveness and elevate patient outcomes. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals, IT specialists, and leadership to ensure that our systems and data are utilized efficiently to align with our organizational objectives.

Core Responsibilities:

  • System Evaluation and Design: Review and assess current healthcare systems, pinpointing areas that require enhancement. Propose and design solutions to improve system functionality and fulfill organizational requirements.
  • Data Oversight: Guarantee precise and effective management of healthcare data, encompassing patient information, billing details, and clinical records. Initiate data integration and quality enhancement projects.
  • Workflow Optimization: Partner with stakeholders to comprehend workflow processes and discover avenues for improvement. Formulate and execute strategies to boost operational productivity.
  • Technology Deployment: Support the planning, testing, and rollout of new healthcare technologies and systems. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry benchmarks.
  • User Assistance and Training: Offer support to end-users, including resolving issues and providing training on system functionalities. Create user guides and documentation to aid in system adoption.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Security: Ensure that healthcare systems adhere to applicable regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and uphold data security and privacy protocols.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Produce and evaluate reports to facilitate decision-making and strategic planning. Deliver insights and recommendations derived from data analysis.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical personnel, and administration, to ensure smooth system integration and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Health Administration, Computer Science, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Healthcare Systems Consultant or in a comparable role within the healthcare sector.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Proficiency in healthcare information systems (e.g., Electronic Health Records (EHR), Practice Management Systems).
    • Understanding of healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively.
    • Familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA), Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS)) are advantageous.
