Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly qualified and self-driven Senior Energy Engineer to enhance our innovative team. This role is designed for an independent professional who excels with minimal oversight. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, operate semi-autonomously, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Robust technical engineering foundation.
  • Experience with central plants (chillers, boilers) and distributed air handling systems.
  • Expertise in BAS/BMS/SCADA automation systems.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven.
  • Note: Candidates with experience solely in electrification, VRF, heat pumps, solar, wind, or geothermal without BAS/BMS experience will not be considered.

Preferred Experience in Building Automation Systems:

(e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider, ALC, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough energy analyses leveraging technical expertise to provide timely and effective solutions.
  • Consistently meet or exceed project timelines.
  • Delegate tasks efficiently to junior team members.
  • Act as a strategic visionary, identifying client needs from limited information and crafting a roadmap to achieve their objectives.
  • Maintain clear, concise, and logical communication.
  • Collaborate effectively with subcontractors and other project stakeholders to implement energy initiatives.

Core Requirements:

  • Proficiency in energy modeling software and spreadsheet analysis.
  • Strong grasp of energy economics.
  • Excellent client communication and management abilities.
  • Familiarity with energy audit and retro-commissioning processes.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of NY/NJ utility incentive programs.
  • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Understanding of energy project finance and funding mechanisms.
