Your Qualifications:

  • EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: High school diploma or equivalent; Familiarity with NFPA standards along with local and state building and fire regulations.
  • PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Prior experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or in a related electrical field is essential; familiarity with Notifier and/or Siemens systems is advantageous.
  • TECHNICAL SKILLS: Proficient in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fire alarm systems; capable of interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; Intermediate skills in MS Office and Excel.
  • ADAPTABILITY: Willingness to travel frequently to client sites in various states.
  • INITIATIVE: Ability to learn quickly and utilize available resources effectively.
  • ANALYTICAL THINKER: Skilled in comprehending technical documentation, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Your Responsibilities:

  • SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE: Perform servicing and maintenance on fire alarm systems and fire suppression panels for various systems.
  • INSPECTIONS: Conduct thorough inspections of fire alarm systems and fire suppression panels.
  • REGULATORY COMPLIANCE: Ensure all projects adhere to applicable codes, regulations, and specifications.
  • SAFETY FIRST: Follow OSHA guidelines and safety protocols diligently while on-site; implement best practices for safety when handling materials and working at heights.
  • EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION: Provide clear and timely updates to clients; relay the status of work orders to supervisors and office personnel.
  • COLLABORATION: Work closely with project Foreman and other trades to ensure efficient project completion; maintain positive relationships with both field and office teams.
