In this position, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the production of essential aerospace components. The ideal candidate will possess three to five years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing setting.
Your Responsibilities:
- Formulate manufacturing techniques and procedures, tooling specifications, and equipment requirements for both existing and new initiatives.
- Create engineering Bills of Materials and Routings, including labor assessments.
- Design process flows and balance production lines by deconstructing intricate assemblies into manageable sub-assemblies.
- Lead investigations and conduct cost analyses on enhancements to robotic and automation processes.
- Prepare and support Manufacturing Readiness Review documentation prior to initial part production.
- Devise manufacturing strategies and detailed work instructions essential for hardware production.
- Assess alternative methods that enhance component characteristics, lower expenses, and boost productivity.
- Oversee and participate in engineering build projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely execution.
- Guarantee that manufacturing procedures comply with AS9100 standards.
- Provide continuous engineering support to the Operations department, including troubleshooting process issues, conducting specialized tests, generating reports, offering technical guidance, and assisting in design alterations.
- Collaborate with the Quality department on the resolution of non-conforming products and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives.
Your Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Proficient in interpreting customer specifications and 2D engineering drawings, with a strong understanding of GD&T.
- Experienced in process development planning, including knowledge of all pertinent engineering requirements, creating engineering Bills of Materials (BOMs), developing manufacturing workflows, identifying tooling solutions, and estimating labor hours throughout the manufacturing stages.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear presentations and reports to convey processes and project outcomes to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Adept at drafting clear and compliant work instructions.
- Familiarity with standard aerospace industry specifications and practices.
