Manufacturing Engineer II for Aerospace Solutions

Acutronic is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to become part of our innovative team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production of essential aerospace components. The ideal candidate will possess three to five years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing setting.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop manufacturing techniques and processes, including tooling specifications and equipment requirements for both existing and new projects.
- Create engineering Bills of Materials and Routings with accurate labor estimates.
- Design process flows and balance production lines by deconstructing large, intricate assemblies into manageable sub-assemblies.
- Lead investigations and perform cost analyses on enhancements to robotic and automation processes.
- Prepare and support Manufacturing Readiness Review documentation prior to initial production runs.
- Formulate manufacturing strategies and detailed work instructions essential for hardware production.
- Assess alternative processes that enhance component attributes, lower costs, and boost efficiency.
- Oversee and contribute to engineering build initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring timely execution.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 standards in manufacturing processes.
Provide continuous engineering support to the Operations team, including troubleshooting process issues, conducting specialized tests, generating reports, offering technical guidance, and assisting in design modifications.
Collaborate with the Quality department on the resolution of non-conforming products and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives.Your Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree or a relevant combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in interpreting customer specifications and 2D engineering drawings, with a strong understanding of GD&T.
- Skilled in analyzing 3D CAD models to extract all necessary engineering requirements.
Experience in process development planning, including a comprehensive understanding of engineering requirements, creating engineering Bills of Materials (BOMs), developing manufacturing process flows, identifying tooling solutions, and estimating labor hours throughout all stages of the manufacturing process.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear presentations and reports to convey processes and project outcomes to both internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to draft clear and compliant work instructions.Familiarity with standard aerospace industry specifications and practices.
