Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

The role involves planning, cooking, and preparing meals for all customers, including patients and cafeteria visitors. Key duties include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service by accurately assembling and delivering patient trays.
  • Maintaining a clean kitchen and adhering to HAACP protocols.
  • Performing various food service and dishwashing tasks, including cleaning and sanitizing work areas.
  • Assisting in meal assembly and ensuring cleanliness in dining areas.
  • Checking in and organizing stock efficiently.
  • Engaging in patient-specific care standards and ensuring high satisfaction levels.

The Culinary Service Specialist II may be assigned to various roles, including Host/Hostess, Tray Line, Porter, or Dish Room responsibilities.

Host/Hostess Duties:
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
  • Ensure proper food labeling, dating, and rotation.
  • Follow procedures for delivering meals and handling patient meal tickets.
Tray Line Duties:
  • Prepare and portion meals according to production sheets.
  • Follow standardized recipes and maintain food safety standards.
Porter Duties:
  • Assist with stock management and cleaning tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with health codes and standards.

Qualifications:

  • A Food Handlers Permit must be obtained within 7 days of employment.
