Position Summary

The Wastewater Systems Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the mechanical systems integral to our wastewater treatment processes. This position involves complex troubleshooting and executing skilled mechanical tasks in accordance with stringent regulatory standards and operational protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct significant rehabilitation and replacement activities on wastewater treatment machinery to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Perform comprehensive mechanical maintenance on specialized equipment utilized in wastewater processing.
  • Inspect, repair, install, and troubleshoot various wastewater machinery and systems.
  • Document testing procedures, results, and recommendations for operational improvements.
  • Analyze project specifications to determine requirements for fabrication and assembly.
  • Execute tests on equipment under operational conditions to assess performance and identify enhancements.
  • Address complex mechanical issues and document deviations from standard operating conditions.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Collaborate with reliability teams to analyze predictive maintenance data and recommend adjustments to meet operational specifications.
  • Review technical specifications related to wastewater treatment equipment.
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work order management.
  • Engage in training sessions on new technologies and processes, providing guidance to colleagues as necessary.
  • Promote safety practices and health awareness in all job functions.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in wastewater or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in maintenance and reliability are advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
  • Knowledge of maintenance practices for various wastewater equipment and systems is essential.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and understand technical documentation.
  • Capability to analyze mechanical systems and recommend efficient solutions.

Physical Requirements:

This position may require frequent walking and standing, with the ability to lift up to 82 pounds. Candidates should be prepared to work in various environmental conditions, adhering to safety protocols and utilizing necessary protective equipment.

Work Environment:

The work environment involves both indoor and outdoor settings, with adherence to safety guidelines being paramount. Employees may encounter varying temperatures and humidity levels.
