Peraton is in search of a skilled Infrastructure Systems Specialist to join our Citizens Security & Public Services team. The selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting Peraton's Infrastructure Managed Services (IMS) program, dedicated to enhancing the operational capabilities of our managed IT services.
Daily Duties Include:
- Engaging and collaborating effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including clients, vendors, management, and IT teams throughout the lifecycle of system development and maintenance.
- Installing, configuring, and testing servers, blade chassis, blade servers, networking devices, and associated cabling.
- Overseeing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure to ensure adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures.
- Providing essential information, feedback, and evaluations to support the design and implementation processes within the Enterprise Data Center environment.
- Understanding, monitoring, and reporting on critical support infrastructure data within the Enterprise Data Center.
- Implementing advanced quality control measures to enhance system efficiency and operational performance.
- Conducting cost-benefit analyses to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Ensuring optimal system and infrastructure availability at all times.
- Identifying and resolving complex technical challenges as they arise.
- Executing warranty and support activities as necessary.
- Collaborating with other professionals to achieve high-quality results.
- Optimizing workflows and physical connectivity to boost project success.
- Participating in on-call duties to provide onsite support for the Enterprise Data Center.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or a High School Diploma/equivalent with 9 years of experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current Secret Clearance.
- CompTIA Security+ Certification is required.
- Experience in creating, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network cabling.
- Fundamental understanding of networking principles, including OSI layers and TCP/IP.
- Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and/or Linux environments.
- Basic knowledge of Virtual Infrastructure, including familiarity with VMware or VirtualBox.
- Experience with monitoring systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Basic scripting skills, such as PowerShell or command line usage.
- Strong logical reasoning skills for effective troubleshooting.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and maneuvering objects weighing up to 70lbs safely.

Salary Range$80,000 - $128,000. This range reflects the typical salary for this position based on experience and other relevant factors.
