Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Receivables Operations Leader to manage the comprehensive process of payment collection from our clientele. This role is crucial in ensuring that our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Establish clear objectives for the receivables team that align with the overall goals of the finance department.
- Oversee the processing of invoices to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Guarantee prompt collection of outstanding payments.
- Engage in negotiations with clients regarding overdue accounts.
- Maintain high standards for invoicing and collection practices that adhere to legal requirements.
- Provide daily support to Receivables Clerks and mentor new team members.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles among all team members.
- Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes.
- Achieve revenue targets by managing the invoicing process, resolving payment issues, and supervising related staff activities.

Human Resource Management
- Fulfill human resource objectives by recruiting, training, assigning, and managing the performance of team members.
- Communicate job expectations clearly and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Recommend compensation adjustments in line with company policies.

Financial Oversight
- Meet financial standards by providing annual budget forecasts for accounts receivable, monitoring spending, and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
- Facilitate collections by reaching out to customers identified by clerks, investigating non-payment situations, and resolving disputes.

Operational Coordination
- Update receivables by coordinating daily sales order processing and bank transactions.
- Safeguard the organization’s interests by maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

Professional Development
- Enhance job knowledge through continuous education, professional reading, and networking.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business management.
- Over 10 years of experience in accounting, billing, or receivables management.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and familiarity with financial software and ERP systems.

Skills
- Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to generate detailed reports.
- Exceptional numerical processing skills.
- Leadership and negotiation expertise.
- CPA certification is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Interpersonal Skills
- Strong oral communication skills with the ability to diplomatically resolve conflicts.
- Proficient in typing, computing, and data entry.
