MISTRAS Group, Inc. is currently in search of dedicated and skilled full-time Level II Radiographic Technicians specializing in low voltage systems. This opportunity is available in a dynamic work environment where overtime is a possibility.

We are pleased to offer a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates, structured as follows:

  • Trainee: $1,000
  • NDT Level I RT (Operator) Certification: $2,000
  • NDT Level II Certification: $3,000
To be considered for this role, applicants must provide the following quality assurance documentation:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Proof of classroom training in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

• Previous Level II certifications or on-the-job training

• TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)

• State/IRRSP Certification

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Setup and calibration of testing equipment.
  • Execution of tests utilizing appropriate NDT techniques.
  • Interpretation, evaluation, and documentation of test results.
  • Directing the work of trainees and Level I personnel while being thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the certified methods.
  • Understanding and adhering to relevant codes, standards, and contractual documents.
  • Working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Timely identification and resolution of issues.
  • Skillful information gathering and analysis.
  • Effective editing and presentation of numerical data.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Completion of a specialized NDT technical program in accordance with SNT-TC1A for one or more of the following: Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), or Penetrant Testing (PT).
  • Prior certification as an NDE Level II with a minimum of one year of experience, or certification as an NDE Level I technician with sufficient field experience to qualify for Level II certification per SNT-TC1A standards.
  • Industrial Radiographers Certification Card is preferred (mandatory for those hired as Radiographers).
  • Completion of a 40-hour Radiation Safety Course is preferred (mandatory for those hired as Radiographers).
  • Demonstrated competencies essential for successful job performance include:

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
  • Fieldwork involves outdoor tasks in a plant atmosphere.
  • Collaboration with crew members, supervisors, and clients.
  • Exposure to production machinery in environments with high noise levels.
  • Physical fitness is required to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs for Radiography tasks.
  • Compliance with safety equipment requirements is essential.
  • Flexibility to work at multiple job sites throughout the day and adapt to varying climate conditions.
  • Periodic travel may be necessary.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Effective communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Vision and observational skills sufficient for conducting investigations.
  • Manual dexterity for routine office tasks.
  • Mobility to navigate within a refinery or plant environment, including access to elevated platforms.
