We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team at Coherent Corp. in East Granby, CT. As a key member of our Fiber Components Business Unit, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing process and working with state-of-the-art fiber assembly technology.
Key Responsibilities- Work per standard operation procedures to ensure efficient and high-quality production.
- Document the manufacturing process as required to maintain accurate records.
- Inspect parts and assemblies under a microscope to ensure quality control.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and calibration to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot equipment as needed to minimize downtime.
- Complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
- Assist in recommending solutions to technical problems and collaborate with engineers as needed.
- Cross-train in other areas as needed to expand your skillset.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience or practice executing delicate tasks with small, fragile parts.
- Computer literacy including data entry in Excel.
- Ability to see details at close range.
- Excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
