JOB PURPOSE

As a seasonal employee within the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, you will perform a variety of tasks that contribute to the effective operation of the park.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

Ticket Booth Attendant: Manage ticket sales, greet visitors, and provide essential information about the park.

Interpretive Guide: Conduct educational programs and assist in maintaining the Nature Center.

Maintainer: Carry out maintenance tasks such as cleaning, mowing, and general upkeep of park facilities.

Crew Leader: Lead a team in maintenance activities and assist in planning and executing tasks.

Park Maintenance Supervisor: Oversee maintenance staff and ensure all facilities are properly maintained.

Park Ranger: Interact with visitors to promote safety and enjoyment of the park.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should possess the ability to follow instructions and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all park visitors.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Ticket Booth Attendant: Background in customer service or retail.
  • Interpretive Guide: Education or experience in natural sciences.
  • Maintainer: Experience in custodial work or landscaping.
  • Crew Leader: Supervisory experience in maintenance or landscaping.
  • Park Maintenance Supervisor: Experience in facility maintenance or related skilled trades.
  • Park Ranger: Experience in outdoor recreation management.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Some positions may require certifications in first aid, lifeguarding, or other relevant areas.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Candidates must be physically capable of performing the duties associated with the role.
