Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to staff members to improve their skills and knowledge in handling, sorting, and maintaining stock.
  • Inventory Management: Review and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, ensuring compliance with established procedures and company policies.
  • Work Scheduling: Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow to meet production needs.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that Quality Assurance procedures for inbound shipments are being followed, and evaluate reports to respond to quality issues.
  • Employee Management: Supervise and manage staff members, including conducting performance reviews, providing feedback, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Problem-Solving: Assist in solving problems and making informed decisions to improve service and productivity in the receiving area.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all employees are aware of and comply with company policies, procedures, and standards.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent, with experience in a fast-paced shipping/warehouse environment.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, and critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Language: Bi-lingual preferred.
  • Software and Systems: AS400 experience preferred.
