Job Overview:

The Critical Care Business Manager is a pivotal role focused on promoting specialized products and medical devices within hospital environments. This position serves as the primary liaison for healthcare providers and is responsible for coordinating with various company representatives involved with the account.

In addition to product promotion, the CCBM will be required to obtain certification for instructing on the setup and use of drug delivery devices. Furthermore, the CCBM will be certified in the preparation and application of designated burn products, ensuring effective communication with operating room physicians and staff.

Through these responsibilities, the CCBM will strive to meet or exceed established performance objectives. Key stakeholders include Neonatal Healthcare Professionals, Burn Surgeons, Physicians, Mid-level Providers, Operating Room personnel, Respiratory Therapists, Nurses, and Hospital Administrators.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively articulate product information and address objections.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of disease states and therapeutic areas.
  • Utilize clinical data to support product sales.
  • Analyze market landscape and competitor offerings.
  • Evaluate territory and account data to identify business opportunities.
  • Prioritize sales activities and continuously assess targets to achieve goals.
  • Develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and implement strategic programs to drive sales.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Meet expectations for speaker events and utilize available resources effectively.
  • Train users on the device competently across all levels.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience / Skills:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, coupled with a minimum of 2 years of recent hospital sales experience or over 5 years in specialty sales. Alternatively, an Associate's degree with 5+ years of experience or 7+ years of proven success in pharmaceutical or industry-related roles within hospital settings may be considered.

Current experience within the designated territory and familiarity with customer needs is highly preferred. Candidates should possess strong technical and clinical presentation skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and a proven track record of sales success. Strong organizational and planning skills, along with collaboration and teamwork capabilities, are essential. A valid driver's license is required, and candidates must successfully complete all product training assessments. Overnight travel may be necessary, and proficiency in computer skills is expected.


Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred. Experience in academic and community institutional selling, as well as knowledge of the institutional contracting process, is advantageous.
