We are looking for a full-time Architectural Project Lead / Project Captain to join our growing and fast-paced team in an architectural role focused on projects of varying scales and technical complexities.

Job Summary

Architectural Project Leads are the leaders of developing architectural plans and will work hand-in-hand with Project Managers and the design team to create exceptional projects.

A successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of the building process, from conceptual design through construction, and be able to apply architectural principles, practices and techniques consistently and with exploratory drive.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, strategic thinker and collaborative problem solver, as well as have significant experience in code analysis and detailing/documentation.

A candidate needs to be able to work independently and collaboratively, with a passion for craft and an eye for detail and quality.

Responsibilities
  • Develop architectural plans and lead project teams
  • Work closely with Project Managers and design teams to create exceptional projects
  • Apply architectural principles, practices and techniques consistently and with exploratory drive
  • Have extensive knowledge of the building process, from conceptual design through construction
  • Be able to analyze and document building codes and regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Architecture
  • License required for Architectural Project Lead
  • 8-15+ years of experience for Architectural Project Lead / Senior Architectural Project Lead
  • Software experience required to include BIM, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • ArchiCAD and AutoCAD experience is preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and in teams
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Detailed and technical drafting skills
  • An astute eye for design sensibilities
  • Strong redlining skills to provide clear direction to teams
  • Knowledge of agency processing and code compliance
  • Attention to both detail and big-picture concepts
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects independently
  • Solid knowledge of codes, specs, engineering systems and construction methods
  • Resourceful, adaptive and efficient
  • Varied experience with a desire to learn
  • Ability to resolve complex issues and develop solutions
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to mentor and guide individuals and teams
