Key Responsibilities
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the project's design vision, contributing significantly to the development of design and performance strategies, and effectively communicating these to the project team.
  • Provide expert technical design insights, overseeing the project's technical design processes, detailed development, project coordination, and quality assurance throughout all phases, in close partnership with the Senior Designer.
  • Guide and mentor emerging professionals and those newly licensed within the architectural team.
  • Offer technical and professional guidance as a Senior Project Architect to junior architects within the practice.
  • Explore innovative solutions, conduct relevant research, and document findings effectively.
  • Collaborate with consultants and knowledge resources to ensure project deliverables are well-coordinated and aligned with design objectives and performance targets.
  • Lead the meticulous development of construction documents across all project stages, ensuring comprehensive, precise, and coordinated documentation.
  • Facilitate the production of schematic designs, development drawings, and construction specifications in accordance with project requirements, timelines, budgets, and design intent.
  • Conduct necessary agency review analyses (Accessibility, zoning, life-safety, etc.).
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients, consultants, and contractors throughout all project phases, participating in marketing and client presentations as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture (Master's degree preferred).
  • Over 10 years of professional experience across various project types, including Workplace/Commercial Interiors, Interior Architecture, Core and Shell projects, Adaptive Reuse, Hospitality, and Building Repositioning.
  • Architecture license in California is mandatory.
  • Current knowledge of California Building Codes is essential.
  • Experience engaging with local Building & Safety offices.
  • Proven track record in securing entitlements and providing architectural support to land use consultants.
  • Experience working with both private clients and public sector entities.
  • Proficiency in Revit is required.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, and other design tools is advantageous.
  • Experience with Bluebeam Studio is a plus.
  • LEED accreditation is preferred.
