Senior Business Development Executive

Our client, a global leader in providing comprehensive analytical instruments, clinical development solutions, specialty diagnostics, and laboratory services, is seeking a Senior Business Development Executive to join their team. This pivotal role is essential in driving sales revenue growth by developing and executing strategies to generate new business and expand relationships with existing clients within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities- New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with potential and existing clients through prospecting, networking, and collaboration with internal teams.
- Client Engagement: Engage with prospective clients to increase awareness of the company's service offerings, highlighting key differentiators from competitors.
- Value Proposition Communication: Clearly articulate the company's value proposition, including opportunities for strategic bundling of services.
- Relationship Management: Maintain and enhance relationships with current clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Quotation and Agreement Management: Manage the process of creating and winning quotations and agreements, ensuring alignment with client needs and company capabilities.
- Education: A technical background in Chemistry or a related field is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; an MBA is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience performing and/or selling related services within the Biopharmaceutical industry with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 years with an advanced degree or equivalent work experience. Established experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
- Skills: Professional presentation skills with the ability to effectively network within senior management ranks. Highly self-motivated with a dynamic approach to business development. Strong ability to establish and maintain a functional home office environment.
- Certifications: No specific certifications are required, but relevant professional certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry and related services. Knowledge of the competitive landscape and key differentiators within the industry.
- Key Competencies: Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess market opportunities and create strategic plans for business development. Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey the company's value proposition. Networking: Ability to build and maintain a robust network of industry contacts. Leadership: Capability to drive initiatives and inspire confidence among clients and internal teams.
- Work Environment: This is a remote position requiring the ability to establish a productive home office environment.
- Travel Requirements: Extensive travel within the defined territory is required, with additional travel as needed for trade shows, team meetings, and other business activities.
- Reporting Structure: The Senior Business Development Executive will report to the Director of Business Development and will collaborate closely with other sales and marketing teams.
