Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Coordinator to join our Wound Care team at Desert Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all front office processes, ensuring seamless communication and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily administrative tasks, including intake, scheduling, registration, and insurance verification
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure accurate and timely production of reports and invoices
  • Initiate and maintain accurate data files, including patient records, patient charges, and correspondence
  • Enter and maintain reports of daily charges, generating daily, weekly, and monthly reports as needed
  • Maintain consistent and accurate information flow and documentation for patient records, accounts, finance, and reimbursement
  • Assist with financial counseling of patients and verify patient insurance
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to develop and maintain systems for medical records, ensuring completeness and patient privacy
  • Generate letters to referring physicians and develop patient scheduling systems
  • Responsible for prioritized flow of operations and proficient interpersonal communications
Requirements
  • High school graduate; some college preferred
  • Prior medical office or hospital clerical experience
  • Proficiency in word processing, database programs, and spreadsheets
  • Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication skills
  • Medical accounts billing experience desirable
Work Environment

This is a day shift position with a competitive pay rate of $21.65 per hour. Individual wages are determined based on qualifications and experience.
