Our dedicated team offers a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute rehabilitation, joint replacement, spinal surgery, neurosurgery, intensive care, telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, and outpatient therapy.

Position Overview:

The Office Coordinator plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the daily operations of the Wound Care Center. This position encompasses a range of administrative responsibilities aimed at ensuring the smooth functioning of the front office.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize computer systems effectively for word processing, database management, and basic spreadsheet tasks.
  2. Oversee daily workflow and ensure timely production of reports and invoices.
  3. Maintain accurate data files, including patient records and business correspondence.
  4. Document daily charges and generate necessary reports for the hospital and program management.
  5. Ensure consistent and accurate information flow for patient records and financial documentation.
  6. Demonstrate knowledge of third-party payer systems and assist with patient financial counseling.
  7. Foster excellent communication with other hospital departments to facilitate information exchange.
  8. Verify patient insurance and manage preauthorization requirements to optimize reimbursement.
  9. Maintain responsibility for record-keeping and the collection of co-pays.
  10. Administer the Medical Records System in collaboration with clinical staff.
  11. Stay informed about current medical records requirements and ensure compliance with policies.
  12. Work with clinic staff to maintain comprehensive medical records while safeguarding patient privacy.
  13. Collaborate with relevant departments to gather necessary documentation for coding purposes.
  14. Prepare correspondence for referring physicians as directed by management.
  15. Develop and manage patient scheduling systems in conjunction with medical staff.
  16. Exhibit proficiency in interpersonal communication and reception duties.
  17. Track inquiries related to program marketing and growth.
  18. Ensure patients attend scheduled appointments through proactive communication.
  19. Maintain a log of caller information for follow-up and patient inquiries.
  20. Handle office correspondence and manage inventory of supplies within budget constraints.
  21. Assist management with projects and marketing initiatives as needed.
  22. Address routine issues following established communication channels.
  23. Demonstrate strong organizational skills in prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities.
  24. Participate actively in program meetings and maintain accurate minutes.
  25. Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
  26. Provide recommendations for improvements to office functions.

Qualifications:

Required:

  1. High school diploma; some college education preferred.
  2. Previous experience in a medical office or hospital setting.
  3. Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  4. Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  5. Experience with medical billing is advantageous.

Shift: Day

Compensation: $21.65 per hour, with individual wages determined by qualifications and experience.
