About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Referral Coordinator to join our Tobacco Cessation Clinics team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Tobacco Cessation program's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient referrals to Tobacco Cessation Clinics, ensuring accurate registration and eligibility of patients with appropriate guarantor accounts.
  • Coordinate appointments to Tobacco cessation clinics, providing excellent customer service to patients and their families.
  • Act as a liaison between Cessation clinics and patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Support the Tobacco Cessation program's initiatives, working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; 3 years of relevant experience in customer service, patient registration, or appointment scheduling preferred.
  • Knowledge of Epic system (registration and scheduling) a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
