Job Overview

As a Territory Sales Account Executive at Wayside Publishing, you will play a pivotal role in managing and nurturing client relationships within the realm of language services. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Identify and explore potential clients within your designated territory, participating in trade shows and networking events to cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with clients through regular interactions, understanding their language needs, project timelines, and budgetary considerations. Utilize CRM tools to document and manage all phases of the sales process.
  • Sales Presentations: Conduct in-person meetings with prospective clients, presenting our product offerings and services effectively.
  • Proposal Creation: Craft and deliver detailed proposals to clients, outlining product offerings, timelines, and cost estimates while addressing any inquiries and negotiating terms.
  • Account Development: Identify opportunities for account growth through strategic planning, adapting to clients' evolving language needs, and proposing additional services.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends and competitors to identify potential clients and new business avenues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various teams within the organization to align strategies and optimize processes.
  • Travel Requirements: Expect to travel approximately 50% of the time, adhering to budget guidelines and management recommendations.
  • Sales Goals: Achieve designated sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Negotiation Skills: Handle negotiations and close sales effectively, utilizing strong interpersonal skills.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a field sales role, preferably in a B2B context.
  • Demonstrated sales skills, including prospecting and closing.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-driven and results-oriented with a proven track record.
  • Effective time management skills, especially while traveling.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple client interactions.
  • Familiarity with CRM software, such as Salesforce.
  • Valid driver's license and readiness to travel extensively.
  • Knowledge of the educational sector is advantageous.
  • Passion for language education and a commitment to customer service excellence.
