Position Summary

The Automation Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and innovation of Empower's manufacturing operations.

This position is vital for maintaining and troubleshooting advanced automation control systems, which are essential to our mission of delivering high-quality medications.

By aligning with our core values of people, service, quality, and innovation, this role facilitates the smooth operation of equipment that underpins our pharmaceutical production process.

As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying, maintaining, and troubleshooting motor controls and advanced automation systems.

Your expertise will be instrumental in automating both upstream and downstream processing equipment, ensuring optimal performance of systems such as vial washing machines, filling isolators, lyophilizers, and packaging lines.

This role also encompasses programming, qualifying, and validating digital process automation systems, alongside providing 24/7 on-call support to resolve technical issues and ensure uninterrupted operations.

In this capacity, you will engage in formal systems acceptance testing and maintain proper documentation for accurate recordkeeping.

You will be pivotal in delivering compliant instrumentation, automation, business, and control systems, ensuring adherence to current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and good automated manufacturing practice (GAMP) standards.

Moreover, your ability to develop engineering layouts, verify engineering drawings, and recommend optimal solutions will be crucial in driving continuous improvement and innovation within our manufacturing processes.
