Position Summary

We are in search of a System Engineer to oversee our system control center, ensuring that critical issues are effectively communicated to cross-functional teams for optimal system performance. You will lead continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and troubleshooting projects by identifying root causes and collaborating with various teams to implement performance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the functionality of automated adapters, vertical lifts, and robotic vehicles.
  • Address and resolve complex system and operational challenges.
  • Clearly articulate technical concepts to site teams and clients.
  • Document issues and collaborate with engineering teams to devise solutions.
  • Provide training and support to operators on the entire system, including automated adapters, vertical lifts, robotic vehicles, and warehouse management systems.
  • Step in to effectively cover key roles on-site as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with customers and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Assist in escalation processes to support teams in resolving production-impacting issues.
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at continuous improvement, standardization, and enhancement of warehouse automation solutions in a dynamic production environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety commitments according to OSHA, Symbotic, and customer protocols on a daily basis.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Software Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience with automated systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC (Allen Bradley, Siemens), Robotics (ABB), and programming languages such as SQL, Linux, and Python.
  • Proficient hands-on experience in assembling, operating, and troubleshooting robotic and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A strong desire to learn new technologies and assist team members as necessary.
  • A high sense of urgency and commitment to excellence.
Work Environment
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to travel to client locations.
  • Responsible for managing personal expenses for reimbursement on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Regularly required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Compliance with all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout and fall protection measures, is mandatory.
  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
  • Subject to environmental conditions, including temperature variations.
Compensation

The base salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO, and other benefits.
