Key Responsibilities:
- System Enhancements: Innovate and implement software and hardware upgrades to both existing and new automated systems, adhering to established change control protocols.
- Technical Support: Utilize PLCs and HMIs to deliver technical assistance and solutions to Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Facilities, in line with standard operating procedures.
- Troubleshooting: Conduct investigations and resolve issues related to manufacturing deviations and anomalies in automation systems and control software.
- Documentation: Create and revise engineering design documents, technical assessments, and testing plans for cGMP process equipment, following GAMP 5 standards.
- Project Support: Assist in small-scale manufacturing, engineering, and validation initiatives.
- Software Design Support: Provide assistance in the design, commissioning, testing, and corrective actions for process control and monitoring software.
- Specification Development: Author or update system specifications, user requirements, and functional requirements, while generating and executing essential Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) protocols.

Qualifications: To qualify for the Lead Automation Specialist role, we prefer candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, along with the following experience:
- Lead Automation Specialist: Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Senior Automation Specialist: Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
Additional Information: Equivalent experience in process control or data acquisition systems may be considered in lieu of a degree. The level of the position will be determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.
We seek individuals with experience in designing and maintaining process control systems or data acquisition systems. Candidates with limited experience in programming and troubleshooting PLCs are also encouraged to apply. Familiarity with Allen-Bradley and Siemens control systems is preferred.
