Position Overview:
This opportunity is presented by Illinois Dept. of Employment Security. We are in search of an Automation Systems Specialist to contribute to our engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop model-based software solutions and implement subsystems utilizing advanced simulation tools.
- Engineer electromechanical control systems employing quantitative analysis to address challenges faced by our clients, merging mechanical and electronic components through effective control algorithms.
- Participate in the conceptualization and design of intricate engineering products and processes, ensuring that they meet high standards of performance, durability, quality, and serviceability.
- Conduct thorough Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and generate boundary diagrams and interface specifications.
- Perform needs assessments and initiate innovative ideas for new control systems and subprocesses.
- Execute network analysis and evaluate engineering data derived from various systems.
- Engage in integration lab testing and oversee product maintenance.
- Collaborate with advanced tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, co-simulation, neural networks, adaptive control, and self-learning technologies.
- Communicate technical insights effectively with customers, team members, suppliers, and other engineering divisions.
- Provide support and guidance to fellow engineers, management, marketing teams, clients, and suppliers.

Travel Requirements:
