Position Overview

AgVantis, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Supplier Relationship Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing and nurturing relationships with external partners that provide essential materials and services. The ideal candidate will ensure that our collaborations are effective and mutually beneficial, aligning with our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Vendor Selection: Collaborate with various departments to identify and assess potential suppliers. This includes initiating contact, gathering information, and facilitating formal processes such as Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP).
  2. Negotiation Management: Lead negotiations regarding contract terms, including financial agreements and service level expectations, ensuring that the interests of AgVantis are safeguarded.
  3. Contract Execution: Hold the authority to finalize agreements with suppliers, ensuring compliance with established thresholds for contract approvals.
  4. Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments of vendor performance against established service level agreements, addressing any issues that arise and enforcing contractual obligations as necessary.
  5. License Oversight: Monitor software license usage to prevent unnecessary expenditures and ensure compliance with vendor agreements.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support implementation projects by coordinating with relevant teams.
  • Assist in managing incidents and defects, engaging vendors when necessary.
  • Participate in discussions regarding vendor roadmaps and feature requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience in vendor management or procurement.
  • Proven track record in negotiating with technology vendors, particularly in SaaS and cloud services.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, capable of managing complex discussions.
  • Familiarity with vendor management software and tools.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project needs.
