POSITION SUMMARY: The Account Manager plays a crucial role in nurturing and expanding both existing and new client relationships to achieve and surpass the company’s sales revenue and profit goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Exhibit, recruit, and mentor team members in alignment with our Core Behaviors
- Promote a culture of safety within the organization
- Manage relationships with both new and existing clients
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of our product offerings
- Present product solutions to clients
- Ensure client satisfaction through follow-up
- Identify and prioritize current and potential clients within the assigned territory, keeping the mailing list updated
- Engage in product training, attend seminars, and oversee product testing
- Participate in company sales meetings and technical discussions
- Provide clients with necessary literature and promotional materials to enhance their productivity
- Supply the General Manager with market insights regarding trends, new products, and market share in current and prospective accounts
- Proactively address client issues
- Foster and maintain positive client relationships
- Coordinate technical support as required
- Support and enhance onsite sales and service efforts
- Communicate client and market concerns to company leadership
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Conduct all activities in accordance with ISO processes and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive product knowledge
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient in relevant computer software
SUPERVISORY ROLE:
- No direct supervisory responsibilities; may provide indirect supervisory feedback.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma is mandatory
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar role within Industrial Sales is required
- Prior experience in sales or customer service is advantageous
CERTIFICATIONS:
- No specific certifications required
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Regularly required to communicate in English, stand, walk, sit, and handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. Must be capable of using computers and other equipment.
- Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to focus clearly.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
- Eye protection, ear protection, and, as necessary, steel-toed shoes and head protection.
