Job Overview:
Position: Supplier Manufacturing Specialist
Location: Wichita, KS
Duration: 4+ Months

Role Summary:
This position requires onsite presence at the client’s facility for approximately 32-35 hours weekly, from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate strong organizational capabilities and the ability to train in and utilize various systems and applications, including Outlook, Excel, Access, and gPLM (onsite training will be provided for client-specific tools). Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
  • Provide support for RFAs through gPLM - BCCM.
  • Generate BCCM items for all RFAs necessitating design engineering assistance.
  • Upload RFA documentation and attachments into the gPLM system.
  • Initiate the BCCM project workflow.
  • Monitor the system for approvals and relay engineering feedback to the SSC representative for technical assessment.
  • Manage incoming RFAs received via Outlook.
  • Ensure RFA forms are complete and accurate.
  • Confirm that RFAs are not duplicates.
  • Input RFAs into the RFA database.
  • Distribute finalized RFA responses to suppliers once technical evaluations are complete.
  • Direct minor impact RFAs to external support functions.
  • Handle requests for ZSP clarifications and address missing data from c-folders.
  • Process Boeing ELRs (Engineering Liaison Requests) for RFAs.
  • Document essential information on an RFA ELR template for input into the Boeing ELR system.
  • Manage material substitutions.
  • Verify the unavailability of PL materials by consulting with raw material procurement.
  • Acquire raw material coordination forms for AL & Ti plate, sheet, bar, and other material shapes.
  • Document necessary details on the material substitution form for engineering.
  • Track all RFAs entered into the system, ensuring closure of RFAs across all systems, and maintain timing logs for a comprehensive study at the end of the six-month period.
Qualifications:
  • Oversee quality, compliance, and regulatory factors between the company and third-party manufacturers, including relationship management, technical challenges, scheduling conflicts, quality assurance, vendor selection, and evaluation.
  • Provide contractors with the necessary information to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and contractors to guarantee that all products are manufactured in accordance with good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and that quality products are available to meet customer demands.
  • Identify potential new contractors.
  • May respond to feasibility inquiries.
  • Monitor quality, compliance, and regulatory factors between the company and third-party manufacturers, including relationship management, technical challenges, scheduling conflicts, quality assurance, vendor selection, and evaluation.
  • Provide contractors with the necessary information to ensure adherence to quality standards.
