We are looking for a skilled Supply Chain Procurement Manager to become a vital part of our organization. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing raw material MRP (Material Requirements Planning) processes, leveraging SAP software for effective inventory oversight, ensuring precise master data management, and guaranteeing prompt supply fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement strategic initiatives for raw material sourcing and inventory oversight to align with production needs while minimizing expenses.
  • Employ SAP or comparable ERP systems to proficiently handle material planning, procurement, and inventory management operations.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-departmental teams, including production, procurement, logistics, and finance, to synchronize material planning efforts with overarching business goals.
  • Evaluate MRP reports and forecasts to detect potential material shortages or surpluses, taking proactive steps to mitigate risks and optimize inventory levels.
  • Ensure the accuracy of master data, including bills of materials (BOM), material master records, and supplier details to facilitate efficient production planning and procurement activities.
  • Lead and mentor a team of material planners/buyers, providing direction, coaching, and support to promote high performance and ongoing improvement.
  • Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with suppliers, managing forecasting and order placement processes, negotiating delivery timelines, and monitoring supplier performance to secure timely delivery of quality materials.
  • Champion process enhancements and implement best practices in material planning and inventory management to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate overall supply chain performance.
  • Facilitate shortage meetings, escalation processes, and supplier performance evaluations in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related discipline. A master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in material planning, procurement, or supply chain management, ideally within a manufacturing context.
  • Extensive experience utilizing SAP or other ERP systems for material planning and inventory oversight.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the proficiency to interpret data, analyze trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Proven leadership experience with the capacity to inspire and develop a team of material planners/buyers.
  • Strong negotiation skills, adept at managing supplier relationships and driving cost-saving initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster process improvements and implement best practices in material planning and inventory management.
