Job Summary

The Tsui Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager I - Capital Improvement to lead capital improvement projects in the Parks, Probation, and General Projects Section. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing vertical construction and public sector building projects through planning, design, jurisdictional approvals, construction, and close-out.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage County Capital Improvement projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including project scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Ensure compliance with County of Los Angeles Building Code and Standards, as well as Public Contracting Code practices.
  • Provide strong leadership and excellent communication skills to effectively manage project teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and scope of work.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Effectively negotiate and prepare change orders, as needed.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring adherence to budget and quality standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of project management and concurrent field construction experience.
  • Licensed professional or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.
  • Education background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Job Order Contracting (JOC) project delivery experience.
  • Design-Build and Progressive Design-Build project delivery experience.
  • CMAR project delivery experience.
  • Experience working on projects with multiple phases and construction contracts.
  • Los Angeles County Public Works protocols and procedures knowledge.
  • Master planning and feasibility studies experience.
Benefits
  • Salary Range: $139,000 - $144,000.
