Position Overview

An Aircraft Fueling Specialist is tasked with the critical role of refueling and maintaining aircraft, ensuring the safe and effective operation of fueling equipment.

  • Conduct fueling and defueling operations with utmost safety and efficiency.
  • Account for fuel transactions with precision.
  • Execute de-icing procedures as necessary.
  • Keep fueling equipment in a clean and operational state.
  • Ensure proper loading and balancing of fuel in aircraft.
  • Utilize fuel trucks, hydrant carts, and stationary carts for aircraft fueling.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Key Responsibilities

This role may involve working in varying weather conditions and environments, including exposure to jet engine fumes, dust, and noise. The individual must be capable of:

  • Regularly standing, walking, using hands for handling or feeling; reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; and communicating effectively.
  • Lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds consistently.
  • Operating company vehicles safely.
  • Performing basic mathematical functions related to weight, measurement, and volume.
  • Reading, writing, and fluently communicating in English.
  • Wearing the designated uniform and insignia as required.
  • Reporting to work consistently and punctually.
Qualifications

To succeed in this position, an individual must effectively fulfill each essential job function. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

  • High school diploma or GED; three to six months of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to pass background checks (criminal and motor vehicle), drug tests, and maintain eligibility for an airport security badge, as well as being insurable under the company's insurance policies.
  • Legal authorization to work in the country of employment is required.
  • Preferred knowledge of fueling and defueling procedures for various aircraft, de-icing procedures, and fueling protocols for ground equipment.
  • A valid state driver's license is mandatory.
  • Successful completion of the Company's PST program is required.
  • Commercial Driver License is necessary for specific locations.
