An Aircraft Fueling Specialist plays a crucial role in the aviation sector, ensuring the safe and efficient fueling and servicing of aircraft while operating specialized equipment.
- Conduct fueling and de-fueling operations with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Maintain precise records of fuel transactions.
- Execute de-icing procedures as necessary.
- Keep fueling equipment in optimal condition.
- Oversee proper loading and balancing of fuel.
- Utilize fuel trucks, hydrant carts, and stationary carts for aircraft fueling.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as directed.
This role may involve working in diverse weather conditions and environments, including exposure to jet engine fumes, dust, and noise. The individual must be capable of:
- Regularly standing, walking, and using hands for various tasks; reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; and effectively communicating.
- Lifting and/or moving items weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Safely operating company vehicles.
- Performing basic mathematical calculations related to weight, measurement, and volume.
- Reading, writing, and fluently communicating in English.
- Wearing the designated uniform and insignia as required.
- Reporting to work consistently and punctually.
To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential job functions effectively. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
- High school diploma or GED; three to six months of relevant experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and maintain airport security credentials.
- Legal authorization to work in the country of employment.
- Familiarity with fueling and de-fueling procedures for various aircraft and ground equipment is preferred.
- Possession of a valid state driver's license.
- Successful completion of the company's training program.
- Commercial Driver License (for specific locations).
