Overview:

The Aircraft Validation Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and supporting the certification processes for both domestic and international aircraft. This position involves coordinating and managing various activities related to FAA conformity and certification, ensuring that all documentation is complete and accurate as per company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Production teams, and FAA representatives without having direct reports.
  2. Organize and facilitate meetings, ensuring effective communication within the organization regarding Conformity and Validation initiatives.
  3. Examine certification documents to verify their accuracy and adherence to established Certification and Quality protocols.
  4. Maintain essential inspection and assembly records as necessary.
  5. Create and update Export compliance checklists in line with FAA guidelines.
  6. Plan and coordinate activities with QC Inspectors and FAA representatives for conformity assessments.
  7. Prepare applications for U.S. Airworthiness Certificates as required by the FAA.
  8. Input data into company databases accurately.
  9. Conduct Aircraft Maintenance entries into the company systems as needed.
  10. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
  11. Work primarily in an office environment, with occasional exposure to elevated temperatures and noise.
  12. Physical activities may include bending, stooping, squatting, and walking regularly.

Qualifications:

  1. Associate Degree in Aviation Business Administration, Aeronautics, or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Type Certification or relevant FAA experience.

Essential Skills:

  1. Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  2. Comprehensive understanding of standard office practices and procedures.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Access.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Familiarity with SAP and TeamCenter software applications.
  2. Experience with FAA Conformity processes.

Physical Demands:

  1. Occasional exposure to high-temperature environments.
  2. Intermittent exposure to noise levels.
  3. Regular physical activity including bending, stooping, squatting, and walking.
