Overview:

The Aircraft Structures Specialist is responsible for executing intricate assembly and fitting of detailed components, ensuring high productivity within various manufacturing processes, including sealant application, fastener installation, electrical harnessing, and hydraulic systems. The role demands that all assembled parts meet or surpass established specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conducts complex assembly and fitting of structural components and parts, performing various drilling and riveting tasks with minimal supervision. Ensures that all assemblies comply with quality standards.

2. Completes routine tasks and builds according to management-defined parameters, maintaining 100% accuracy within designated timeframes.

3. Undertakes special assignments and complex repairs, providing recommendations for solutions to a range of sophisticated challenges.

4. Collaborates with colleagues across different functional areas to address work stoppages, participate in continuous improvement projects, and establish best practices.

5. May engage in mentoring activities, training others in task execution.

6. Regularly updates supervisors on task progress, issues, and potential delays.

7. Maintains a tidy and organized workspace, supporting the company's 5S program (Sort, Systematize, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) and guiding others in workspace maintenance.

8. Actively participates in HACI certification processes for internal aircraft specifications and consistently meets ongoing training requirements.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Relevant experience or demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the outlined tasks effectively.

3. A&P and/or related certifications are highly preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

1. Proficient in arithmetic, instrument usage, and blueprint interpretation.

2. Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and process specifications to follow the planned operational sequence.

3. Maintains a constant state of alertness and adheres to safety protocols.

4. Advanced understanding of aircraft systems and component functions.

5. Experience in direct customer interactions.

6. Demonstrates teamwork and a strong work ethic.

7. Capable of working with minimal supervision.

8. Willingness to work overtime and respond to management requests for additional duties.

9. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is strongly preferred.

10. Intermediate knowledge of SAP and beginner-level TCM is beneficial.

11. May require national and international travel without restrictions.

Physical Demands:

1. Exposure to operational noise, temperature variations, dust, and odors from aircraft components may occur.

2. Ability to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, and stretch for extended periods as required by job functions.

3. Adheres to all safety regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal) while performing duties.

4. Must be able to read, hear, speak, and see without restrictions as necessary for job performance.

5. Effectively communicates in Business English.

6. Capable of lifting and moving items up to 10 lbs throughout the work shift without assistance, and up to 50 lbs with the use of appropriate equipment.

7. Must possess full range of motion and agility.
