Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Painter Specialist to join our team at American Honda Motor. As an Aircraft Painter Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality paint finishes on our aircraft surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Surface Preparation: Clean, prep, mask, and spray aircraft surfaces and/or subassembly parts for the paint process, ensuring each step meets prescribed specifications and quality standards.

2. Paint Application: Apply primers and chemical conversion coats to prepare aircraft aluminum surfaces for paint adhesion and to prevent corrosion.

3. Coating and Finishing: Fill, prime, paint fasteners and pin holes, and apply coatings to aircraft parts and skins.

4. Quality Control: Inspect aircraft for defects, discoloration, spots, and touchup as needed, and conduct final finish inspections of metallic and pearl coats.

5. Maintenance and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, and implement and consistently follow the 5S program (Sort, Systematize, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Strong Attention to Detail: Ensure high-quality paint finishes and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.

2. Excellent Communication Skills: Collaborate with team members and management to ensure smooth operations and quality control.

3. Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift heavy equipment, and stand for long periods.
