Position Overview
A Fueling Specialist is tasked with the fueling and maintenance of aircraft, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of fueling equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute fueling and de-fueling operations with utmost safety and efficiency.
- Maintain precise records of fuel transactions.
- Conduct de-icing procedures as necessary.
- Keep fueling equipment in clean and operational condition.
- Ensure accurate loading and balancing of fuel.
- Utilize fuel trucks, hydrant carts, and stationary carts for aircraft fueling.
Additional Duties
Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed. The following tasks may occur in varying weather and environmental conditions, including exposure to jet engine fumes, dust, or noise.
Physical Requirements
Candidates must possess the ability to:
- Stand, walk, and use hands for handling tasks; reach with arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and communicate effectively.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Operate company vehicles safely.
- Perform basic mathematical functions related to weight, measurement, and volume.
- Read, write, and fluently communicate in English.
- Adhere to uniform and insignia guidelines as set by the company.
- Maintain a consistent and punctual work schedule.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- High school diploma or GED; 3 to 6 months of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and obtain an airport security badge.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
- Familiarity with fueling and de-fueling procedures for various aircraft and ground equipment is preferred.
- Possession of a valid state driver's license is required.
- Successful completion of the company's training program is mandatory.
