Role Overview:

The Regional Sales Director - Midwest is responsible for leading a team of Field Sales Account Managers across a specified area in the United States. This role ensures the effective implementation of sales strategies, nurturing client relationships, and meeting revenue objectives.

The ideal candidate will oversee a remote team of Field-Based Account Managers, providing critical insights on performance indicators, roles, responsibilities, and other key metrics for success.

This position requires regular interactions with both existing and potential clients to evaluate their ongoing needs.

The successful candidate will exhibit outstanding presentation skills, effectively address customer requirements at various levels, demonstrate proven leadership capabilities, possess strong data analysis skills, be knowledgeable in CRM and route management tools, and have a solid history of successful sales management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Collaborate with leadership to develop and refine sales strategies for the Early Education and K-6 Public Sector Market. Supervise, mentor, and guide a team of Account Managers, offering direction and support to achieve both individual and collective objectives.

    Work with senior leadership to set market growth goals and metrics for the team and individuals.

    Conduct regular performance evaluations, establish objectives, and facilitate professional development for team members.
  • Sales Strategy and Execution:
    Formulate and execute regional sales strategies that align with company goals to enhance revenue growth.

    Partner with Account Managers to identify key accounts, develop sales plans, and track progress toward targets.

    Analyze sales data to uncover trends, opportunities, and areas for enhancement.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    Establish and maintain robust relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and ensuring superior sales and service delivery.

    Assist Account Managers in addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and negotiating contracts as necessary.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Work alongside other departments such as Marketing, Product Development, and Operations to ensure cohesive strategies and execution.

    Provide valuable field insights and feedback to aid in the development of new products and services.

    Enhance brand visibility through strategic initiatives, ensuring effective positioning in the Public Sector Market.
  • Reporting and Forecasting:
    Prepare regular reports on regional sales performance, forecasts, and market trends for Senior Management.

    Monitor and manage regional budgets, ensuring compliance with financial objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in Sales Management, ideally within the Educational Products/Services sector.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of successfully managing and motivating teams to meet targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret sales data and generate actionable insights.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to create and implement sales plans that align with company objectives.

Willingness to travel within the assigned region as necessary - minimally to engage with each supervised Account Manager in their territory twice a year and attend national sales meetings, training sessions, and other relevant events as required.

Expect 40%-50% travel.
