Job Title: Regional Sales Manager

Atkore International is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue and market share growth on all Atkore's Plumbing products across our business units through the development and execution of our strategic initiatives.



The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a similar role and/or industry. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Drive continued growth for our product portfolio of Plumbing products through our network of agents and electrical distributors, as well as key end user influencers and specifiers where applicable.
  • Educate, train & develop our Sales Agents and end users on products through lunch and learns, demonstrations, job site visits, and field training.
  • Enter, track, manage, and report on projects, opportunities, and territory sales plans using and other tools as needed.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences as needed.
  • Manage performance of Sales Agents and make changes as warranted.
  • Conduct sales objective reviews by product for all agencies and each direct salesperson.
  • Assist in the evaluation and processing of field quality complaints and returns.
  • Manage travel & entertainment expenses in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Complete other projects, initiatives, duties, and responsibilities as required.


Requirements:




  • Must be willing and able to work remotely and travel 75% of the time.
  • Bachelor's Degree required with 5 plus years of related experience in sales.
  • Experience working with a distribution/manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Excellent Communication, Negotiating Skills, Presentation Skills, Analytical Skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
  • Prior use of Salesforce preferred.


What You'll Achieve:




  • Finish Atkore immersion program and gain an understanding of our Values and Business systems.
  • Develop an understanding of the Water Product portfolio and product offerings from each plant.
  • Meet with each department leads that you will be interacting with on an ongoing basis.
  • Work with Pricing understanding the Atkore principles for pricing.
  • Work with Customer Service understanding process of order shipments and RMA's.
  • Work with Operations understanding Lean Daily Management.
