Job Summary

Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Development Director Exempt to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, this individual will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing educational programs for nursing and ancillary staff.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing education and development, with experience in coordinating educational programs and maintaining records of in-service education. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a union environment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing educational programs for nursing and ancillary staff
  • Maintaining records of in-service education and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Providing orientation programs for new staff members
  • Coordinating with Employee Health for TB testing and physicals
  • Participating in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements include a current LVN or RN license in good standing, a valid DSD certificate, and a valid BLS card. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience as a licensed nurse providing direct patient care in a LTC facility, as well as one year of experience planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in nursing.
