Position Summary:

  • Oversee the formulation and ownership of Tester Systems specifications, validation, and verification methodologies within the Blue Origin Engines division.
  • Engage collaboratively with Hardware and Software engineers to guarantee thorough validation and verification methodologies for Tester Systems.
  • Apply best practices in systems engineering and set standards for structured reviews.
  • Accountable for the complete tester lifecycle, from initial concept through to production testing for Hardware-in-the-Loop, Systems Integration Labs, and Automated Test Systems.
  • Contribute to technology advancement projects and work closely with key Engine and Vehicle stakeholders.
  • Communicate development progress, risks, and challenges effectively to management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of Systems Engineering experience in electronic hardware and/or software systems within safety-critical sectors.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering methodologies and avionics hardware/software testing.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with electronic testing equipment.
  • Understanding of Data Acquisition Principles and experience with high-reliability mission-critical systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities for both analog and digital hardware.
  • Proficient in test networks and software development tools.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in systems engineering, particularly in aerospace applications.
  • Background in designing safety-critical electronic assemblies and avionics systems.
  • Skills in scripting, programming, and analysis using C, C#, C++, and other relevant tools.
