The Senior Product Manager - Technical at T-Mobile is a forward-thinking leader tasked with spearheading the development and enhancement of API management, Gateway, and Authorization and Access Management services. This position requires defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap while ensuring scalability, security, and performance. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver top-notch solutions and innovative features.

The role demands a profound understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), developer empathy, strategic insight, and technical proficiency to create significant products that align with business objectives.

Be ready for diverse responsibilities, including market analysis, feature documentation, technical execution, and supporting market launch initiatives. No two days are alike for the Technical Product Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth research on API, Security, and Gateway platforms.
  • Draft features or user stories and determine specifications.
  • Define the long-term strategy for the product and create the product roadmap.
  • Oversee technical delivery from start to finish.
  • Define the scope for releases and product increments.
  • Collaborate with development teams, project management, and other key stakeholders to establish release schedules.
  • Support and drive market launch activities as necessary.

Job Duties:

Engage in the development of cutting-edge Application Delivery Networking solutions, ensuring our customers remain at the forefront of technological progress.

Navigate the intricacies of emerging technologies and deliver exceptional developer experiences as a Senior Product Manager at T-Mobile.
Advocate for API development, empowering developers to create high-quality APIs that align with business objectives.
Guide the trajectory of our product offerings from concept to execution.

Work closely with API Product Managers, Engineers, and Vendors, utilizing your technical knowledge and customer-focused approach to make strategic decisions that enhance service delivery.

Connect with customers to translate their needs into actionable product strategies.
Lead a team dedicated to discovering innovative methods to enhance connectivity and simplify customer interactions with our technology.
Take full ownership of the product lifecycle for complex and high-impact consumer devices and network services.
Engage in developer experience research and data analysis to inform product direction and innovation.
Collaborate with key delivery partners and team members to refine product strategies and enhance customer experiences.
Implement hypothesis-driven testing and agile methodologies to improve product offerings and maintain market competitiveness.
Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, advocating for the product and influencing critical decisions.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience (Required).


Work Experience: Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in technical writing, production code, solution engineering, or technical architecture within a large-scale company/application/product environment. A minimum of 7 years of relevant Product Management experience in an agile software product development environment.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Advanced understanding of API Management, Gateway, and Authorization and Access Management.
Strong skills in requirements gathering and professional writing, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Experience in Agile Project Management with familiarity in Agile backlog/project management tools.
Proven ability to deliver large and complex business/technology initiatives as a Product Manager or in a lead technology role.
Demonstrated capability to communicate effectively with leadership while fostering collaboration and influence.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to various audiences, including executives and non-technical leaders.

Deep understanding of platform technologies and components such as security, performance, optimization, and API integration.
Extensive knowledge of integration patterns, APIs, and protocols such as REST, EDI, SOAP, etc.
Proficient in DevOps (CI/CT/CD) and its application in an Agile environment.
Scrum Product Owner Certification (CSPO) preferred.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Base Pay Range:
$124,700 - $224,900

Corporate Bonus Target: 20%. The pay range above represents the general base pay range for a successful candidate in this role.

The actual pay will be determined based on various factors, including work location, qualifications, and experience, so the starting pay may vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role.

Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance, set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.

Certain positions in Customer Care may qualify for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
