Position Overview:
  • Compensation starts at $17.00/hr during the training phase, increasing to $20.00/hr upon successful sign-off for Oven and Mixer operations.
  • Training may occur on either first or third shifts.
  • A $2.00/hr shift differential applies for third shift roles.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is essential.

Work Schedule:
  • Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts.
  • Occasional weekend work may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Baking Production Specialist, you will play a vital role in the ongoing operation of industrial baking machinery and related areas assigned to you daily. This includes, but is not limited to, mixers, ovens, and ingredient preparation.

Your daily tasks will include:
  • Timely attendance at all pre-shift production meetings.
  • Active participation in all food safety and workplace safety programs.
  • Completion of mandatory Alchemy courses throughout the year.
  • Pre-weighing and preparing raw baking ingredients.
  • Mixing dry and wet ingredients in large-scale mixers.
  • Ensuring that cookie ingredients are combined according to specified recipes.
  • Maintaining product quality standards throughout the baking process.
  • Wrapping and bagging cookie products, troubleshooting machinery settings as needed.
  • Labeling boxed cookie products accurately for storage and shipping.
  • Disassembling and installing rollers, dies, and other machinery components.
  • Cleaning equipment and parts during production changeovers.
  • Keeping equipment in sanitary and operational condition.

  • Adhere to all company policies.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Comply with Food Safety Management System policies and procedures.
  • Maintain sanitation standards.
  • Observe safety protocols.
  • Assist in other production areas as required.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Proficiency in reading, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing or food handling processes.
  • Able to consistently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience with industrial machinery is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and computer interfaces.
  • Understanding of food safety protocols.

Equipment Utilized:
  • Box cutters.
  • Spatulas, scoops, and scrapers.
  • Scales.
  • Computers and barcode scanners.
  • Safety glasses.
  • Lockout/Tag out equipment.
  • Basic hand tools.
  • Cleaning chemicals and foaming equipment.
  • Water hoses (working in a wet environment).
