Job Overview

Prestige Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for a direct hire opportunity in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

This is a 2nd shift opportunity with outstanding benefits, including a base salary of $68k-70k/yr with bonus, and OT paid as straight time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Continuous Improvement: Implement and maintain 5S, Help Chain, Standardized Work, Kaizen, Problem Solving, Change Over Reduction, Lean Material Systems, and Level Production initiatives to drive efficiency and quality.
  • Ensure Safety and Compliance: Responsible for environmental, health, and safety issues in assigned departments, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Manage Team Performance: Schedule, direct, train, and motivate employees within assigned areas, maintaining acceptable levels of quality, production efficiency, and scrap reduction.
  • Compile and Maintain Records: Ensure accurate and timely compilation of all required department records, including performance metrics and quality control data.
  • Evaluate and Improve Performance: Regularly evaluate and maintain employee performance levels, providing coaching and development opportunities to enhance skills and productivity.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve production and equipment problems to maintain continuous improvement, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production levels.
  • Coordinate Employee Issues: Coordinate the resolution of employee issues, ensuring fair and timely resolution, and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Communicate and Enforce Policies: Communicate and enforce company policies and rules, ensuring compliance and adherence to industry standards.
  • Support Quality Initiatives: Support IATF16949 and ISO14001 initiatives, driving continuous improvement and excellence in quality, safety, and environmental performance.
  • Participate in Process Improvement: Participate in continually improving processes to achieve safety, quality, and environmental objectives, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with two (2) years of supervision experience in a manufacturing area preferred. A BS Degree in leadership and supervision is desired.
  • Must be open to any shift.
  • Excellent written, listening, and oral communication skills are required.
  • Ability to calculate figures and perform mathematical problems to assess labor based on production schedules.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to resolve employee issues, possessing conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
