Position Overview:

As a key member of the Human Resources team, the HR Operations Specialist will provide essential support in the administration of HR policies and programs within Covenant Health. This role serves as a pivotal point of contact at the facility level, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Advise management on employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions and performance management.
  2. Act as a liaison between staff and leadership to facilitate resolution of workplace issues.
  3. Lead and coordinate special HR projects as required.
  4. Conduct training sessions on various employee relations topics, such as performance evaluations and workplace conduct.
  5. Participate in investigations and prepare responses to employment-related claims.
  6. Conduct compliance investigations and report findings to appropriate stakeholders.
  7. Address claims from the Department of Employment Security and represent the organization in appeals.
  8. Ensure adherence to Joint Commission compliance standards and oversee the development of competency reports.
  9. Manage the performance evaluation process and communicate merit increase details to management.
  10. Facilitate the HR segment of new employee orientation and contribute to employee education initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education:
A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience, along with a recognized HR certification, is preferred.

Experience:
A minimum of five years in a human resources role, with a focus on employee relations and HR generalist functions, is required. Familiarity with legal aspects of employee relations is essential, along with strong computer skills.

Licensure:
HR certification is preferred.
