Job Summary:

Covenant Health (Tennessee) is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Operations Specialist to provide professional support for the administration of human resources policies and programs. As a key member of the HR team, this individual will serve as a liaison between employees and leadership, resolving employee relations issues and providing guidance on HR-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise managers and supervisors on employee relations problems, disciplinary actions, and performance management issues.

• Serve as a liaison between employees and leadership to resolve employee relations issues.

• Coordinate special projects and lead HR initiatives as needed.

• Conduct training programs on employee relations topics, such as performance evaluation, disciplinary procedures, and sexual harassment.

• Participate in investigations and draft responses to EEO and Tennessee Human Rights Commission charges.

• Conduct Integrity/Compliance investigations and report findings.

• Respond to Tennessee Department of Employment Security claims and represent Covenant Health on appeals.

• Conduct follow-up on findings from Compensation, HRIS, or Payroll audits.

• Evaluate and prepare Human Resources for Joint Commission compliance, including development of annual reports and follow-up on competency issues.

• Ensure completion of Performance Evaluations and distribute notifications to managers regarding merit increase process and merit amounts.

• Conduct HR portion of new employee orientation program and participate in presentation of Employee Education Day.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience combined with professional HR certification.

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in human resources, with direct responsibility in employee relations functions and knowledge of legal issues related to employee relations.

• Computer skills required.

• HR certification preferred.
