JOB SUMMARY
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is accountable for overseeing all financial functions of Lamoille Home Health & Hospice.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the CFO plays a crucial role in providing financial oversight, including accounting, budgeting, and operational support across all programs and initiatives.

The CFO actively participates in the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the development and execution of the organization's vision, mission, and strategic objectives.


This role involves managing the daily financial operations of the agency, encompassing accounting, accounts receivable, payroll, and accounts payable.

This is a Full-time position that offers a competitive benefits package and generous time off.

RESPONSIBILITIES


Oversee all finance and accounting functions, including month-end closing, financial reporting, general ledger management, cost accounting, accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, budgeting, tax compliance, and revenue recognition.

Ensure adherence to all applicable local, state, and federal financial regulations and tax reporting requirements.

Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard revenue, manage costs, and monitor program budgets against actual expenditures.

Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with the leadership team.


Regularly analyze financial data and deliver accurate financial reports in a timely manner; effectively communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Keep senior leadership informed of the financial status and any significant changes.

Collaborate with auditors during the annual audit process, addressing any concerns raised by the auditors promptly.


Coordinate the preparation and management of tax compliance and reporting, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.


Ensure compliance with grant reporting and collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer to support program audits and grant writing efforts.

Monitor and manage the performance of invested assets in line with established policies and investment guidelines.

Work closely with the HR Director to ensure accurate payroll processing and benefits administration.

Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to foster strong working relationships across all levels of the organization and with external partners.

Demonstrated executive presence and strong presentation skills for communicating financial information to the Board of Directors and senior executives.

Proven leadership capabilities, with a history of effectively managing teams and enhancing processes.

Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational and time management skills.

Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.

Experience with human resources practices and oversight is a plus.

High level of discretion in handling confidential information.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and QuickBooks Online.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

Experience in the healthcare sector utilizing electronic medical record systems is preferred but not mandatory.
