Logistics Operations Supervisor

Position Overview:
The Warehouse Operations Supervisor will oversee the planning, coordination, and management of all operational facets in our facility. This role is crucial for maintaining operational accuracy, leading the warehouse team, and delivering exceptional service to our clients. The primary objective is to boost operational efficiency while ensuring a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the execution of the distribution strategy to meet facility objectives, including production, quality, safety, and inventory management.
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, and inventory storage processes.
- Manage budgets effectively, interpret financial statements, and prepare relevant management reports.
- Ensure optimal use of space and mechanical handling equipment while meeting quality and environmental standards.
- Coordinate all freight activities, including pre-paid and collect shipments.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members receive appropriate safety training and equipment.
- Maintain accurate stock control systems and ensure inventory integrity.
- Monitor and manage key performance indicators as established by the leadership team.
- Lead the operations team to achieve departmental objectives through effective workload distribution and resource management.
- Facilitate the recruitment and training of staff, while also assessing performance and development.
- Drive performance excellence and implement improvement plans as necessary; make personnel decisions when required.
- Exhibit strong teamwork capabilities.
- Be available for weekend, holiday, and overtime work as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
- 5 to 7 years of experience in warehouse distribution management, including supervising and developing staff.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate independent and well-reasoned thoughts.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Proven experience in managing warehouse personnel, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong work ethic and analytical skills, with a focus on effective people management.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with SAP and/or EWM is preferred.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration or Logistics.
