About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development to join our team at Marion Polk Food Share. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives that drive business results and support our mission to end hunger and its root causes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement HR Strategies: Collaborate with our leadership team to develop and implement HR strategies that align with our business objectives and support our mission.
  • Lead HR Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our HR department, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance.
  • Develop and Implement Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives: Develop and implement initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and support our commitment to creating a culture of belonging.
  • Provide HR Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including policy interpretation, employee relations, and benefits administration.
  • Lead Compensation and Benefits Initiatives: Develop and implement compensation and benefits strategies that attract and retain top talent and support our business objectives.
  • Oversee HR Systems and Technology: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of HR systems and technology, including HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration.
  • Develop and Implement Employee Engagement Initiatives: Develop and implement initiatives that promote employee engagement and retention, including recognition and reward programs, employee development opportunities, and wellness initiatives.
About Marion Polk Food Share

Marion Polk Food Share is a regional food bank serving Marion and Polk Counties. We are committed to ending hunger and its root causes through our work with over 100 partner programs, including food pantries, meal sites, and home-delivered meals. Our mission is to bring people together to end hunger and its root causes.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of HR experience, including experience in a leadership role.
  • HR Certification: SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading HR departments and developing and implementing HR strategies that drive business results.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, managers, and external partners.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions that support business objectives.
